Social media platform Reddit had a successful IPO this week. However, within just two days, its stock price surged to $70 and then quickly dropped to $49.32 on Thursday, nearing its opening price of $47. Reddit’s high stock price has been a subject of controversy, as the longstanding website has been consistently unprofitable throughout the years. Following the IPO, CEO Steve Huffman sold 500,000 shares of stock, while COO Jennifer Wong sold 514,000 shares, while still holding 1.4 million shares.
