Microsoft’s artificial intelligence assistant, Microsoft Copilot, has been found to be configurable as the default assistant application for the Android operating system. Bartok Gabriel discovered that it is possible to set the application as the default assistant in the settings of Copilot for Android version 27.9.420225014. However, the functionality does not currently support voice input, indicating that it may not be fully ready yet. Copilot is already the default assistant in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft has not yet released any official announcement regarding Copilot’s support for being set as the default application on Android.
