The European Commission is considering launching an investigation into Apple Inc. following its recent decision to discontinue support for web applications on iOS 17.4 in compliance with the Digital Markets Act, which will come into effect in March. The European Union is now requesting information from Apple and application developers to assess whether an investigation into Apple’s decision is necessary. Apple had stated that there was minimal usage of web applications at the time.
