知情人士透露,苹果公司及其供应商计划未来两三年内在印度每年生产 5,000 多万部 iPhone,之后还计划在此基础上进一步增加数千万部的产量。如果该计划得以落实,印度产 iPhone 将占到全球 iPhone 产量的四分之一,并在未来的十年左右逐渐增加份额。中国仍将是最大的 iPhone 生产国。
富士康 11 月 27 日宣布将向印度投资超过 15 亿美元,表明该公司致力于在印度的发展。富士康在南部卡纳塔克邦建设的工厂一期工程预计将于 4 月开始运营,该工厂的目标是在未来两到三年内年产 2000 万部手机,主要是 iPhone。富士康还在筹建另一处 iPhone 工厂,产能与卡纳塔克邦工厂类似。
苹果公司还将会把计划 2025 年销售的基础款 iPhone 的新产品导入阶段选在印度实施。到目前为止,这项工作只在中国完成。
According to insiders, Apple and its suppliers are planning to produce over 50 million iPhones annually in India within the next two to three years, with further plans to increase production by tens of millions of units. If this plan is realized, iPhones produced in India would account for one-fourth of the global iPhone production and gradually increase their share over the next decade. China will remain the largest producer of iPhones.
On November 27th, Foxconn announced an investment of over $1.5 billion in India, demonstrating the company’s commitment to its development in the country. The first phase of the factory being built in the state of Karnataka is expected to commence operations in April, with a target of producing 20 million smartphones annually, primarily iPhones, within the next two to three years. Foxconn is also planning another iPhone factory with a similar production capacity to the one in Karnataka.
Apple is also planning to shift the production of its entry-level iPhone models, slated for release in 2025, to India. So far, this work has been exclusively done in China.
