Google Play’s new policy: Apps need to support deleting accounts/data from both within the app and on the official website

The new data deletion policy released by Google shows that developers on Google Play need to provide an option for users to delete their accounts and personal data. Users can also choose to only delete certain data from the application without having to delete the entire account. At the same time, application developers must also provide a method for deleting data and accounts on web sites outside of the application so that users can apply for deletion without installing the application. For this reason, developers must submit a response to Google’s Data Security Form before December 7, 2023, and may apply for an extension until May 31, 2024.
