Two recent rounds of layoffs initiated by Meta seem to have affected the operation of its platform customer service system. Katya Karlova, a well-known fashion model on Instagram, said that she was unable to contact Instagram support when she discovered her photos were being stolen by fake Instagram accounts. MeLynda Rinker, community manager for the Facebook group 50 Shades of Pink, also stated that she was unable to contact Facebook customer service regarding backend issues found.
A spokesperson for Meta has not yet responded to these issues.
